Amplifier Magazine Review

Finally! The Nov/Dec issue of Amplifier magazine is on the streets. Ryan Adams is on the cover and you can pick up a copy at your local Tower Records.

Here's what they had to say about Jet City - Tempus Fugit:

Listening to Tempus Fugit, you get the feeling David Mills, who wrote all the songs and played most of the instruments, has a healthy share of guilty pleasures in his record collection. Traces of '80s-era Bon Jovi and Poison can be heard (not quite as clearly as the Clash and the Who in Mills' revved up pop, but they do show up). Mills, however, is a solid song-writer, who plays passionately, and when you're bouncing your head to peppy little ditties like "Radio," which grooves along on a "Train in Vain" riff, there's no time for musical snobbery. On the charming "Here Comes Haley," Mills pays tribute to his young daughter without an ounce of cheese. Other stand-outs include "Bully" and "High Maintenance," a perfect pop song about loving a hard-to-please gal. Very enjoyable.

Ranked as one of the Top 100 Pop/Rock albums of 2002 by

David Bash, CEO: International Pop Overthrow.

Very impressive 80’s Brit-inspired (riffy, crunchy) garage pop vibe going on here (also early Smithereens-like at times) that’s chock full of catchy songs, lots of tasty guitars and spirited delivery!  Features “Radio” – the best song the Lemon Pipers never did!
